Proficient Benefit Solutions is a member of the Employers Flexible Council on Compensation (also known as the ECFC). This organization advocates for the expansion and improvement of tax advantaged benefit plans such as FSAs, HSAs and HRAs.
This past June, President Trump issued an executive order asking the Treasury Department to research the FSA rollover and find out if improvements could be made to increase the benefits for FSA participants.
In response to the executive order, the ECFC submitted comments to the Treasury Department encouraging them to increase the FSA rollover amount from $500 to the annual limit - dramatically reducing the effects of the “use or lose rule.”
